Denard Span is in the starting lineup today in right field, after being called up yesterday to replace Michael Cuddyer on the roster. He's batting ninth and, fortunately, Jason Kubel is penciled in at DH. I was worried that Span's call-up and Gardenhire's love affair with him would mean Kubel still wouldn't find playing time. So far, that's not the case.
Anyways, it's always exciting to see a player make his Major League debut, even if they're not expected to do big things. He'll be facing Brett Tomko, who takes the mound opposite Boof Bonser.
