MIA and MIA

Don't worry- you're not the only one feeling the burden of the economic crisis. The University of Miami's football team will not fly chartered planes to two road games this year, as was previously planned. On trips to Tampa Bay and Orlando (to play Central Florida and South Florida), they will instead charter buses for the 4 hour- 20 minute and 3 hour- 40 minute drive, respectively. They will save one hundred and forty THOUSAND dollars from these two trips, their first road games that they haven't flown to in at least ten years!!

Anyone who argues that college football isn't a huge money making machine, that anyone involved in it values education on par with football, I'd like you to explain that.

And upon glancing at the front page of the New York Times, I was greeted by this picture of MIA performing at the Grammys, and I couldn't help but laugh hysterically.
