David Eckstein has re-upped with the Padres for 2010, meaning the Twins will be unable to pursue him in the offseason. Given Ron Gardenhire's inexplicable (but also unsurprising) love for the diminuitive, light-hitting middle infielder and Orlando Cabrera's impending free agency, that allows me to breath a sigh of relief.
