Ehhh...it was ugly

So, you are probably wondering what I am referring to. Well, I'm talking about the statistical predictions I made back in March. All in all, I didn't do too well. In fact, I did quite terribly. I would go as far as to say it was utterly embarrassing how poorly I did. Next year, I think I'll spend a little bit more time on it than I did this year. Without further ado, let's examine just what went wrong.

I'm not going to go into much discussion of their seasons, because that's for another post on another day. But it's hard to be close across the board. For instance, I did very well with Young's average and OBP, but then I was on another planet with his slugging, HR, and RBI. Also, for next year, I'll remember that I guessed too high for every single player's slugging percentage and home runs, and only Morneau's RBI total was higher than I had anticipated.

For the pitchers, it was a little more even; I had some predicted to do too well and some to do too poorly. But, all in all, based on these comparisons, I won't be putting money on any of my predictions next year.
